AD/OC Wall: An Innovation for Sustainable Infrastructure
The Talence-Médoquine station, located in Gironde, is undergoing a transformation as part of an ambitious project led by SNCF Réseau. This project, where technical innovations and expertise meet, has enabled INFRANEO to strengthen its partnerships and actively contribute to a large-scale infrastructure.
We warmly thank the team at NGE FONDATIONS for the opportunity to closely discover the AD/OC® wall, a remarkable technical innovation with prefabricated concrete scales. This visit, conducted in collaboration with the ABAK INGENIERIE engineering firm, was an opportunity to exchange on technical solutions and share expertise in an enriching environment.
AD/OC® Wall: A Revolutionary Alternative
The AD/OC® wall is a revolutionary alternative to traditional shotcrete nailed walls. This process stands out for its use of prefabricated concrete scales, drastically reducing the environmental footprint while enhancing technical performance.
Its main advantages:
- – Self-draining facing: Optimal management of water ingress to protect the structure from hydraulic damage.
- – Reduced carbon footprint by half: Thanks to a significant reduction in materials (cement and steel) required.
- – Time optimization: Prefabrication allows for quick and efficient implementation, while improving on-site safety.
The development of the AD/OC® wall is based on a collaborative research project led with IFSTTAR of Lyon and the LGCIE laboratory of INSA Lyon, confirming its reliability and performance.
INFRANEO’s Contribution: Expertise and Safety
As part of this project, INFRANEO provided its expertise by conducting preliminary tests and controls of the self-drilling anchors. These interventions, essential to ensure the stability and longevity of the structure, reflect our commitment to quality and safety.
The tests allowed us to assess the bearing capacity and resistance of the anchors under real conditions, thus reinforcing the overall reliability of the structure.
Our role in this project is part of a broader vision of strong partnerships and engineering excellence.
An Exemplary Partnership and Enriching Exchanges
The visit was also an opportunity to witness the professionalism and commitment of the teams involved. Each project participant, whether from NGE FONDATIONS, ABAK INGENIERIE, or the teams on-site, contributed to making this project an example of successful collaboration.
These moments of sharing not only help solve technical issues together but also lead to the development of innovative solutions tailored to the growing demands of the infrastructure sector.
The Future of Anchored Infrastructure
With solutions like the AD/OC® wall, infrastructure projects are entering a new era where innovation, sustainability, and safety come together to meet today’s and tomorrow’s challenges.
This technology demonstrates that it is possible to combine technical performance with environmental respect, while ensuring perfect integration into landscapes thanks to a variety of aesthetic options.
A Win-Win Commitment
A big thank you to all the actors involved in this project for their commitment and professionalism.
INFRANEO is proud to contribute to projects that shape the future of infrastructure, staying true to its values.
